AVON VALLEY RAILWAY
The sister site to this one, this is the official AVR visitor site and includes details on the railway, how to get there, timetable, special events, photo gallery and much more.

SIR FREDERICK PILE
A website with historical and restoration details and photographs of 34058 'Sir Frederick Pile', the Battle of Britain Pacific being restored at Bitton.

CHOLSEY & WALLINGFORD RAILWAY
This is the UK Heritage Railways site for the Cholsey & Wallingford, which currently has the Avon Valley Railway's RSH 0-6-0T on loan.  Details of how to get there, operating days, membership and history.

Wales Rails is an independent survey of railways in Wales, and the tourist attractions they serve.

EAST SOMERSET RAILWAY
The official ESR site, with visitor details of the railway.

GLOUCESTERSHIRE & WARWICKSHIRE RAILWAY
Another official site giving the usual visitor details, plus a good selection of news and locomotive information.

STEAM - MUSEUM OF THE GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY
This is how a museum should be - interesting to railway enthusiasts AND lots to see and do for family groups.  Well worth a visit, but do print out the map of how to get there as I found signposts a little hard to find.

SWANAGE RAILWAY
A Web Gem Award winning site, all the information you could ever need on this Southern branch line, with whom the AVR has had a close association for many years.

SWINDON & CRICKLADE RAILWAY
A super little site, with plenty of information on the railway past, present, and its future plans.

WESTON, CLEVEDON & PORTISHEAD RAILWAY
A new site (October 2004) about the fairly short but colourful life of this light railway that connected the three seaside towns.

WEST SOMERSET RAILWAY
The official WSR site has all the usual information that visitors look for, plus news of what is happening on the railway.  There are also two unofficial sites, which go into even greater detail on news, whats happening on the railway, details of stock etc.
